Our boat is missing the optional Kenyon grill and, after seeing a friend’s grill in action this weekend, I want to install one. My question is what do I need to do or install other than just cutting a hole and dropping one in? The space is there and there is already an outlet and breaker labeled “stove”. Being that it’s right above the refrigerator is additional heat protection below the grill necessary? Anything else I need to be aware of? Thanks!

I've never had the desire to light up a grill anywhere near/under my canvas. When I grill it gets messy. Steam, smoke, occasional fires on the grill. I just don't see how this doesn't make a mess of the underside of your canvas/isenglass when it happens? I'm not grilling boca burgers :)

A Magma in a rod holder is about as close to cockpit grill as I feel comfortable getting...

I have a Magma and have used it a few times. I am telling you though...this Kenyon is slick. The grease management is far better (during and after the cook) than Magma.
