Can anyone near Baltimore recommend a company or mechanic that can work on a Kohler generator? Thanks.

Look in your manual and call Kohler service number. They will give you a local Kohler Service company. They will come to the boat. Do you have any warranty left?

Warranty is long gone. The boat is a '96 and the genny is original. I went to the Kohler site and they referred me to a dealer in New Jersey. I am afraid the drive time to get the tech to the boat would cost more than the genny is worth. : (
I hear "Weavers" marina has one. Where I keep my boat that's who they call when they have a problem they can't find with the generators.

The "dealer" in NJ is probably the WEST, the North East Distributor. Call them and they will refer you to certified Kohler mechanics. They gave me a list of at least 5 just in North Jersey..
