I want to replace the mattress on my '99 310 DA. I've 'heard' of people buying an inexpensive queen mattress and 'cutting' it.. yes cutting it, to fit the berth. As this sounds pretty self-explanatory, I have no idea how to cut a mattress and have it stay together to not produce a mess. How on earth would you 'close up' the mattress once you're done cutting it?
I would imagine that there are 3 full cuts, or openings. If you're looking at the mattress laying down, it would be the top right, bottom left, and bottom right. I think I can corner off the top left of the mattress without altering it.
