Mercruiser power steering cooler

While looking for a power steering cooler for my 93 5.7 I came across a "MR COOL" line of coolers. Looks like a direct replacement for mine. Anyone have any knowledge of this brand?

Mr. Cool has been around for quite a while. I can't say I've ever heard anything bad about them. I know anything with "Mercruiser" on it is expensive (be glad it doesn't say Yamaha or Honda!!!!!). But my personal thought on this... this is likely the original part you're replacing... and it lasted 30 years? Sometimes it's best to get OEM even if it's more.

The question you should look into on the Mr. Cool version is whether it's made of the same components... to the same quality specs... and even the same metal composition (whether the composition is as good, or not).

You'd probably be just fine with the Mr. C, though. 'Course, if you have an issue down the road you'll be kicking yourself for having to do a "re-do"
