saw Deb today, no surgery needed. In hip pain, still running brain tests every 6 hours. Wont be out for a few days. Will need a walker and physical therapy.
Pics. The last pic is interior, you can see how armrest encroached into seat, Hyundai needs to work on that. ...

I am very happy for you, that is what your experience leads you to believe. If the driver has insurance, they accept liability and they're working with you, I would not be quick to lawyer up. Most insurance companies do not treat you the way the lawyer commercials suggest they do. Any lawyers going to get one third of a settlement, don't forget that.
Man I dunno. Id say the high strength steel in the A post, cowl side, and B post saved the day. Those areas of cars are loaded with high tensile strength boron these days. That looked like a tahoe or suburban? That 2.5x the size of that car. Kept that vehicle from fully entering the passenger compartment.Hyundai really needs to add some beef to the side beams
I couldn't agree to your last comment more. On the side beams, I was just thinking back to my Volvo S60. The side beam was a 8"x4" hi tensile box beam that could have withstood a any T bone situation. But those are different cars. Was not trying to disparage anyone.Man I dunno.
