not sure at moment
Hi Everyone! My first time on a site like this - hope it helps - I've googled, I've "ebay-ed" I've searched dealerships - I NEED TO FIND A REPLACEMENT LADDER FOR MY 1994 220 SEARAY BOWRIDER - there's got to be one out there somewhere...or at least one that would work. I've checked with a Sea Ray dealership from Ozark, MO and they say the part is discontinued. How do I find a replacement for this ladder for a 1994 220 Sea Ray Bowrider?????

Thanks in advance for ANY guidance/suggestions you can give!

Are you looking for the stern boarding ladder like what is in my picture? These are Windline ladders and were and still are OEM on just about every small production boat out there.

From that era, you likely have (or "had") a white, vinyl-coated, flip-n-fold style ladder. I think that GG Schmitt was the manufacturer. Although I don't believe they make that style anymore, I would give them a call and see if they have one lying around. If not, see if they have a replacement that would work.

If no joy there, I would go to Garelick or Windline and find one that you like. More than likely, the holes won't line up, but that's not hard to deal with. Compare the specs (measurements) of the new ladders to the space you have. Remember, you need to put some good reinforcement underneath/inside the swim platform. If space allows, go with at least a 3-step ladder as the bottom rung will then be deeper in the water... much easier to board as you don't end up with your knee in your chest.

Or... Just keep stepping on the anti-ventilation plate of the outdrive... Just don't slip off! :wow:

I have a ladder from a '93 230DA that is just sitting in my garage. Not sure if its the same or not. Do you have any photos of the type you are looking for?

boy is this true. I'm looking to replace the single step ladder off the teak swim step platform but all the new ones are approx 10-11" wide and mine is 14"+ inches wide. The narrower styles are toe slicers so I'm looking for a used on eBay which I think I found w 3-steps but I had a hell of a time boarding w that single step. My knee was in my chest and had no pull bars on my existing swim step.

Also purchased a 4-blade Solas prop but the hub was too long and the threads to the shFt wouldn't expose for the nut. I am having trouble finding a 4-blade aluminum for pre alpha drive.

Cap'n, take a look at the GG Schmitt ladders. Specifically the #L08E3102. It's nearly 20" wide since they reverse the rungs... meaning the lowest rung is the widest (the hardest one to find in the water). The rungs are also wide and flat. They are VERY beefy!
