I've discussed my obsession with Nordhavn's on here before but I just can't get enough of these detailed walkthroughs. This tour of the 68 is unbelievable. So many systems, most of which are at least N+1, and so well laid out.

I agree with you about the quality that goes into these Nordhavn boats. I would love to see them produce a semi displacement hull to pick up the speed a bit, but that’s just me. Here is a great video that I have watched several times showing off a 57’ boat traveling from San Diego to Ensenada.

I agree such an amazing boat. Truly something you'd use for long distance cruising. Otherwise, I can't see the point!

Always thought this is a "cross the Atlantic" type of boat.

Have been on a couple at boat shows. I agree everything appears to be very well put together, at least from my novice perspective.

Only downside I have always had is too many steps up and down. Everywhere you move its either 2-3 steps down or 2-3 steps up.

I've always admired Nordhavn boats and even more so when I ran across an interesting video on youtube of the delivering the largest boat they ever built, a 120' delivered from their factory in China to the buyer in Canada. I later ran across a story about the how it was seized by the Canadian Government upon delivery, when its owner tried to cheat the Canadian government out of duty on a portion of the purchase price, as well as claim the boat had manufacturer defects.

We were slipped next to Tugnacious a Nordhavn N76 in St Augustine three years ago at the City Marina over the Xmas holidays. The Owner Chris had just taken delivery several months before. That thing dwarfed my boat; beautiful machine it was. Here is a photo I found.

wow. Most of us around here own boats. That is a ship

Love them… Life at 9 knots is just fine with me. Have a buddy who has one in Newport Beach 76 “Tortuga” was living there when he had it built. He is an ex commercial pilot and had redundant systems on everything. Yes lots of stairs but WOW was incredible. He took it to the Bearing Sea just for fun… Crazy but awesome build

Funny story. We were heading north in the Elizabeth River toward Norfolk and were boarded by the Coasties for the typical safety inspection. We slowed to an idle as the rib pulled along side the swim platform and the usual 2 fellas came aboard. We were idling along and about 5 minutes into the Q and A when one of them noticed a Nordhavn coming up on our stern. One said to the other, “is that a Nordhavn? I mentioned it was a beauty, brand new. “It spent the night behind us at Atlantic Yacht Basin and we left together this morning”. They looked at each other and one said to the other, “ I’ve never been on a Nordhavn”. The one that was running the show quickly stated that he could see that everything here seemed to be in order and we were obviously seasoned cruisers so here’s your yellow copy, thank you very much and safe travels. They hailed their buddy back alongside and they were gone. A few minutes later we could see the blue lights go on as they approached the Nordhavn.
I’m thinking they had a good look in every compartment on her to “check compliance” :)

I was in Provincetown 2 summers ago and Warbird pulled up behind us on the dock. It is an unbelievable boat. Just beautiful.

haha! Good for them, I’d have done the same. Perks of the job

Thread drift warning…Re Nordhavn “Warbird”
Was curious about the name, so followed the blog…there was a reference to the boat’s name indicating the owner also had a P51 Mustang!!
Cars, boats, houses aren’t the only things that have appreciated. To say this aircraft has become a collectors item is an understatement:

I like the ‘purchase today for $12,395 a month”.
