Garmin VHF315 radio issue- please help. I’m getting an error message on the handheld GHS-11 “incompatible software please update software on the VHF radio. I did all this and still have an error. Has anyone had any similar issue and know the fix? I’ve waited 5 month to get this radio and having issues. Very hard to get hands on another one.
I gave up on our order of a 315 after 6 months, swapped to Vesper Cortex. Garmin bought Vesper in January likely why they are not addressing 315??
I wish I had done the same. LOL. I’ve been on the phone with them for a week doing everything to try and wake the system. I was told by Garmin days ago that the 315 has been now discontinued and they couldn’t help me. I’m calling back on Monday and they are going to do something! I am not happy about this.
The Junction/Relay box is behind the electrical panel 12v side. There are 2 'triggers' that detect when either AC turns on and that's what turns the ac pump on. Sounds like the trigger for the front ac is bad.So my lines had a little crud but not enough to cause my the high pressure warning. I've determined there is no communication between the front ac and the relay. The front ac is fine but it has to be running in conjunction with the salon ac. If the salon stops, the pump stops regardless if the front is running or not. I'm not an electrical wiz but I'd like to find the location of the junction box for the relays and at least see if the wires are connected. I think there are wiring diagrams in the briefcase on the boat. Not sure if it would actually pinpoint the location. Guessing it is close to the pump? Not a clue....

Garmin has just swapped out the unit. I’m awaiting to arrive in mail. I’ll keep posted once new comes in and if there’s a problem still.
My microwave is original on the boat and I figure it'll konk out more sooner than later. Looking at the top of the storage/coffee maker cabinet below it there are no visible mounting /hold down screws. The microwave sits on a black painted board. I'm assuming it is mounted to the board. No clue how it comes out. Anyone have experience swapping out the microwave on a 390DA?
Flying a happy face on his boat?Mike right across from me on m-row did his this year I believe.
Yup!Flying a happy face on his boat?
I had a 05 390 with 496’s. She was probably the worst boat on the lake for gas. (My opinion..) Love that boat and would still have it if it was diesel. Joe (Ezstep on CSR) has your boat or maybe a year or two newer. Same engines. He was faster than me and had better fuel efficiency.Forgive me if this has been addressed already. Please point me in the right direction if so. I have a friend that has been tirelessly searching for a 390/40. He has heard from a couple sources that the 8.1s are underpowered and burn a ton of fuel. I have 98 400 with 7.4s and I have no issues with power. Is it thirsty but it’s a boat. Don’t want to re-hash the gas vs diesel debate, just looking for some honest feedback and/or some good leads near SE Michigan, he’s open to gas or diesel. thanks,
K-Dub.
