Seems long to deliver a SDX 270.
Anyone with real experience on lead times for sport boats recently?

I did decide to part with the SLX. It was a difficult decision. I am headed into the last curve before retirement and wanted to buy a new boat now so it will only be a few years old when I retire. I wanted an outboard this time around. If the SLX 280 was available now with outboard power I would have went that route.Say it ain't so Paul!
You sold the 270SLX and got an SDX OB?
Oh the humanity!
Seriously though, cool purchase, I hope it's everything you want it to be.
did you max out the option list?
Outboard boats of all makes and types are hot right now (and into the foreseeable future)........I bet you could get an I/O one quicker (not that I would suggest it) Curious as to why you spec'd your boat with the smaller gearcase "Pro" Vrod over the standard (bigger prop, more lift) model.....expected top speed on the new boat? weight?
Paul, I've been watching this thread since you started it and kept having a recurring thought:
When you get your new boat, if you allow the build delays to remain in your mind it may diminish the joy you have with the new boat. My advice is this: When you get the new boat, don't look back at any disappointments, only look forward to the joy of ownership and the fun you have with it.
