Can anyone give me the exact part number for a replacement rub rail for my '89 220DA. It seems to have shrunk over the years and I could probably use a few feet to repair the gaps.

The part is NLA from Sea Ray due to the age of the boat, however, it should be listed in your parts manual (might be available online if you don't have it) But, as mentioned above, Taco is the direction to head.

I assume you have a vinyl insert... since SS doesn't shrink that often...:smt001.

So, you're saying the insert is currently in more than one piece?

Or, are you talking about the part that actually mounts to the boat?

No problem, Danny. :smt001

Is your current insert in more than one piece? Typically it's awful hard to replace the insert in small pieces. They tend to pop right back out. Unless you add more "keepers". A keeper is the thing that holds the two ends of the rubrail together - you should see it at the aft, center portion on the insert - directly centered back at the transom. But, then you'll have these keepers at random areas around the boat - functional, but not really aesthetically pleasing. I always recommend replacing in one piece.

I really didn't examine it that closely, but I know that there are a few gaps from shrinkage. Without going to look at the boat now, I think I know what you mean as to the keepers located aft. I was hoping to just pop a new piece in where needed, but if it's easy enough to replace the entire rub rail I'll do that. The previous owner was very careful docking, so generally it's in very good condition, which is why I just wanted to replace the gaps.

OK....thanks for the advice.
