Shore Power Cords

I purchased a new 50A shore power cord this spring and it's a bear to twist onto the pedestal connection. Can anyone recommend any dielectric grease that would help with the tight connection?

Are you concerned you're going to damage the receptical on the pedestal? If it's "that tight" I'd be worried you're going to damage the pedestal and eventually have a bad/arcing connection. Maybe make sure your prongs aren't deformed or bent in before you start greasing and forcing it? My two cents only....
