So, lets talk weather....

Sun came out here, melted the snow away. Now my wife says I need to clean up the leaves tomorrow. I thought I got out of that chore until spring when we got the early snow last week.
Mowed for the last time today. Last week I ended up with 4 Home Depot yard waste bags. Lots of leaves sucked up. Today, only one.

First snow of the year this morning, just expecting a couple of inches. My in-laws got worried about it so left for home yesterday. God bless the snow! :)
I guess we'll be getting your stuff tomorrow. Just enough to make the roads into a big bumper car ride. Could be a mess with all the college kids on the road back to school tomorrow.

We have about 7" on the ground and it is still snowing pretty light at this point. The good news is we arent having the 30 mile per hour winds we normally have around here. this snow has been falling straight down all day.

No snow (thankfully) but nasty cold. Woke to 20ºF this morning. High of 42ºF this afternoon. Mid-November is too early for temps to be this cold.

Snow is close by. Probably enough to make it messy but not enough to shovel..... I hope any way.

Here in northern Wisconsin it’s been pretty mild. There’s usually enough ice on the lake to do some ice fishing by thanksgiving. Nothing yet.

Looks as if winter is here to stay. Probably 6" on the ground so far.

Time to go visit the boat in storage to remember summer.

That'll be good for the ski resorts and snowmobiles. Can't think of anything else. I'll be happy if most of our precipitation turns out to be rain this year.

I'm actually surprised I haven't heard the snowmobiles out yet. They are nearly as bad as boaters waiting for the ice to come off the lakes.

My neighbor bought a new Skidoo ( not sure of the model, some sort of rocket). He keeps it at his family's cottage west of Gaylord. He says he's had to trailer up into the UP to find good snow alot over the last few years.

I wish the Upper Midwest would figure its Winter out. Minimal snow so no trail riding and too warm, so minimal ice fishing.

We are in Glendale, AZ for about six weeks. It's so nice and warm, it's shorts weather.
Its going to be rough going home, (Eastern Washington State), at the end of January.
We'll enjoy this while we can.
