It is getting bad. The season needs to get started already. I was dreaming they dredged the Susquehanna river and connected the finger lakes to the Chesapeake. I have property along the Susquehanna and I liked being down in the Chesapeake back in the 90s. So that is most likely the reasoning I don't remember many dreams, but this seemed so real.

Well I can certainly understand dreaming about the Chesapeake, I did for years. I keep the boat in the water all year these days. So that helps a lot as you can just go down and sit on the boat if you like and/or get some work done. We had some really warm days in Feb that allowed us to sit outside on back of the boat. Really nice to be able to do that, it really help kill the winter blues.

I would think where you are you would be off Snowmobiling on the weekends. That what we use to do when we were living on LI. Really helped a lot, when that season was over the boating one began.

I'm going to redo my front yard landscaping this spring so that'll keep me occupied.
This weekend confirmed a long-held belief of mine: I HATE YARD WORK! Mowing the lawn is one thing; crawling around on my hands an knees prepping 400 square feet of planter is another.

Think about it a path from the great lakes direct to the Chesapeake would be awesome. LOL .But I really need to get on the boat.

All I can think about is the de-winterizing projects for the Sea Ray, coupled with building and installing a dock. Then picking up a pontoon boat 3hrs away. Unfortunately, I can’t do a thing, so I tore out a bathroom to add another project and stress. Oh, and I have a job too…..

Isn’t boating suppose to relieve stress?

I know you mean a direct canal, but the there is a path, it's part of the NE loop of the Great Loop.

Out of Lake Erie via the canal and down the Hudson to Delaware bay and through the C&D canal to the top of the Chesapeake.
