Hi all I recently purchased a 2007 230 Select that has a factory molded covering on the swim platform. I am planning on putting aqua traction on the interior floor and the platform and would like to remove the factory covering. It is a hard plastic. Just wondered if anyone has removed it and what was the best way. Thanks

If that's the original stuff, it's 'hard' now - started off a little softer. Turns out that material was not the best in terms of longevity due to UV. Sea Ray stopped using it for that reason and eventually switched to SeaDek.

Heat gun and pry it off. The glue underneath is going to be the biggest problem - getting it all off well enough for new stuff to stick. Acetone or Naptha will help.

Thanks for the info. I looked at the SeaDek too but felt the Aqua Traction was a better quality. Hopefully the heat gun works.
