Anyone know the correct way to test a selinoid like this one that controls the bow thruster? Terminal A goes to load, terminal B goes to Bat. Terminal 1 is marked btown/grey, terminal 2 is marked white/purple.
The one pictured is bad. I only found out because a dockmate could hear it click but no movement of the thruster. Re
laced it and got my thruster back.
Btw a good source was getrvparts.com, 88 bucks with shipping. Intellitec rvmotorhome battery disconnect relay solenoud 01-00055-000.

Relays can sometimes click, and pass voltage - but not enough amperage to power the device. If you jump the relay and the device works, the relay is bad.

That is a latching solenoid, to test it apply and remove voltage to the silver studs and you should hear it click. If it clicks then check for continuity on the copper studs to see if it is open or closed then apply and remove voltage to the silver studs again if it clicks again then check to see if the continuity changed if it did then your solenoid works.

Having said all of that if you already removed the solenoid then replace it with a new one just in case it’s starting to go bad.
