Torpedo speakers under the arch

Has anyone installed any kind of torpedo speakers under the arch hanging down and facing back ? Looking to get details on how you did the install prior to starting ... did you use backing plates to disperse weight?

I've thought about it a few times but have always decided it wouldn't be aesthetically pleasing.

If you take a gander at your arch I think you'll find backing plates would be quite unnecessary for speakers. The arch is beefy glass...
