My lounge pad vynil is in pretty good shape physically but is heavily mildew stained. Is there anything that will bring it back or should I just have it recovered? I've tried a couple different products from WM, but nothing's getting at this stain. This is not on the surface but pretty "deep down" like its in the material itself.

Reason I asked, I saw an ad for this ... https://shopxanigomarine.com/products/no-mold-kit

Since it's pretty trashed already, I would try a degreaser and a scrub brush. Something like Purple power from home depot.

If that doesn't work, then there is no issue with hitting it with a magic eraser. It will shorten the life of the seat, but it's pretty much done anyway.

No….. if there was something magic out there we would all know about it

I think that's a goner. But at this point, try anything you want - including SEM vinyl paint. A white rag, soaked in a solution of water:bleach of about 5:1, laid on the pad for 15 miuntes might help. If that doesn't help, I don't think anything else will. You won't hurt the vinyl by doing this. Try to avoid the stitching if you can.

Bleach will be the only thing at this point. That is the only thing that will kill the mold and also help remove the stain. Not the best thing for the vinyl but you don't have much to loose at this point. Use a 50% water/bleach and let it sit on it for awhile.

Reupholster and stop fooling around they can match the vinyl perfect…. Plus it’s a sun pad who cares

Or is this your wife asking…… because this would be my wife. I would just throw it out

And how did it get this bad?….. boat maintenance…. Get on it

Yeah...I was hoping for a magic bullet...Oh well off to the upholstery shop.

Next up on the agenda. Adding a fold up/down chaises longe. Anyone have a plan/ideas? I've seen starboard, but look flimsy. Would prefer an SS tube frame.

I think it's original...16 years in FL.

You can’t keep vinyl from going moldy… now you want folding options with only stainless tube….. I think no folding for you
