Seems like the MTA bailout tax passed, at least that's what my accountant just told me. I get to pay $.34 for every $100 I make to pay for the MTA budget deficit. God I love this state.

I'm going to write the mayor and propose he hire me. 100% commission. All he has to do is pay me 10% of all the money I save the city. I'll bet I could make about $100mil ($50mil after taxes) the first year just clearing out waste and blatant corruption without hardly trying.

I get to pay an Excise Tax every year because I moor there.

It's not bad enough that I pay a tax on my Marina Mooring.
I pay tax on all of the food, liquor and meals I buy there along with the gasoline taxes.
They just got to get more.
If I don't pay they will suspend my Driver's License.
The Excise Tax also applies to my Dinghy and Waverunner!

But it's just us from IL that have to pay, seeing as 80+ per cent of the boaters are from IL in Hammond.

I went and paid my f**king property taxes today but I did notice something. The tax rate for James City County here has actually been going down over the last 10 years... it used to be $0.86 per $100 and it's crept down to $0.77 per $100 now... Granted they have increased assesments a little but... at least I don't feel like I'm getting raped too bad.
