What water temp is safe

View attachment 141101

You mean this isn't recommended? :)
When my kids were young, they wanted to get out on the boat as soon as spring hit. We bought them wet suits and as soon as the air temp was over 70 out we went. Now that they're in their mid to late 20s, not so much. It is supposed to rain this weekend, otherwise I would be out on Saturday. Instead I'll be painting and ripping out carpet.

We used to be in water, anchored out on St Patrick day, mid March and that when it used to snow occasionally in March.
Now; boat goes in end of April, out by 3rd week of September.
By that time, i watching posts from Creekwood, Ollie, and Potato Man talking about getting 6’ of snow.

We can have temps in the 80s well into October. Marina usually closes November 15th, so I winterize the boat and change the oil the last weekend they are open.

Air temp + water temp over 100 degrees and I'd ski all day in a wetsuit when I was younger.

Safe is a wide definition. In my case, If I splash the admiral with water temps below about 85 degrees, she'll kill me.
That's me! Kept the pool 85+° during the swimming season in Florida (about 8 months for me). I got into the water in Anchor Bay twice last year. The only purpose was to give the water line and tabs a scrub. I was miserable doing it. My Cobia? Hoodie sweatshirt virtually the entire season when running across the lake. I'd pull it off when I was idling. The 390 stays nice and warm with the glass and canvas.
