What's a good inexpensive prop replacement

In your case with rocks, stay with aluminum. Consider your prop as an expendable like anodes. Better to fold blades than snap shafts.
Al has a "shock absorber" built into his props. It does an excellent job at taking the brunt of a "hit" and not causing shaft damage. However, I agree that if running aground is a normal/anticipated occurrence, then using an Al prop is still advisable.

Last summer I had guests aboard (for the day, see shitter thread) well at mouth of Frog Mortar it gets real shallow out of channel (Techmitch knows) and i got to yakking not paying attention and suddenly Im in 2’ and churning mud. Hammer down powered out to deep water. Aluminum would have tore up, SS not a nick. No rocks though. SS works around here, maybe not everywhere.

That is the only problem. Some places are nice soft sand, and others are bolders lol

So I decided to say f it and went to west marine. Not bad in price today. I spent about 250 in prop, prop hub, and prop wrentch and did this. It was was easier than the videos said. Originally I bought a hustler by turning point but the shaft was to long. So I decided to get a quicksilver one and everything else worked out properly.

Maybe get some spray paint and sand that corrosion off and paint that area on the anti ventilation plate.
