We have lived on our 2001 Sea Ray 420AC for the last 11 months having departed our home Marina last May. We are now headed home with the last 925 miles+- or so in front of us. We've owed GT since July 2007 so we know her well including every sound she makes and where the sound comes from so I think I speak from pretty good knowledge about our Sea Ray.

About ten days into our Great Loop adventure we had a problem that was beyond our skill level. After communicating with Sea Ray they offered to make a repair at a point in time that would not put us into a bind travel wise. We made arrangements to have the repair done in Fl where we'd have plenty of time and more convineient to our travel plans.

They two gentlemen whom one of them had worked on our model boat in 2000-2001 when she was built that new her well. They took her down and put her back together and we are back under way and very pleased.

I guess the the best part of this other than the repair is that they are still in business through the ups and downs of our economies while many have come and gone. They build a good boat with very good people and they have a great following of boat owners whom love their boats.

I'd like to thank all whom were involved and yes, we are very happy with our Sea Ray as are most all of us here on CSR.

Excellent story John! Just gives me more confidence that we chose the right boat manufacturer! Enjoy the remaining voyage!

Top notch boats from a top notch builder. Great story.

You just have to look at all the Classic Sea Rays still going, thats the proof of good quality. Plus Corporate is always available to assist.

Great story, thanks for sharing. A testament to why we all chose Sea Ray.

Your story sounds like several others I have heard. I've had nothing but great luck in dealing with SR customer service. I'm on my 3rd SR and have had near perfect performance and a high level of satisfaction from each of them.

BTW, I hope SeaRay is still monitoring this site since Matt user (SeaRay corporate) has gone. It was nice having that personal interaction. Hope he's doing well. Class act for sure. Brian

Got to tell you I heard from Rusty within hours of the posting and you can bet he and the rest of them know how we feel about our boats and just as importantly about their commintment to their customers. Every one has issues from time to time and it's how you treat people and care about building and maintaining the amity relationship. The economy has its ups and downs and ya have to be in it for the long hall that helps set you apart from your completion. You either lead, follow or get the hell out of the way as people make the world go round. Nn

Great post and you provide a great reason that we all prefer Sea Ray boats. I have to say that when I was researching my first big boat, I found this site. On this site, I found folks that helped me understand why Sea Ray is the brand to purchase. Sea Ray Corporate has noticed this site along with our loyalty and has recognized the importance of existing owners and not just potential buyers. We help sell their new boats! I am a Sea Ray owner (proud), I am in the ONLY Sea Ray only yacht club and my next boat will be a Sea Ray. This is a great brand with fantastic customers (at least most on this site), and I wish nothing but the best for the Sea Ray brand moving forward!
