Would someone punch Palin in the throat please?

Damn William, you must be bored today, knock off early and drink some cold ones.

Totally bored, found that story, seemed like a good Friday Afternoon at the Fights kind of thread.

Im out of here at 145, just need 45 minutes more of entertainment.

So who thinks abortion is the greatest medical breakthrough ever?

  1. Let's see, his 3 yrs 7 mos kid kicked him you know where
  2. He's leaving Amy for you know who
  3. Him and H20NUT need a room.
It's been a tough week for Willy. Go easy on him.

:smt043 Quite the synopsis!

I think it's more interesting you "Brag" about not being offended by jokes about your wife or special needs daughter but the minute anyone takes a swipe at YOU, you turn very offensive. Your parents must be very proud!

Change the Title from: Would someone punch Palin in the throat please?

To:Would someone punch Palin in the Stomach please?

Family is always off limits in my book. Letterman has crossed lines before, this is not his first foray into controversy. It is deliberate, calculated and mean spirited by him, his producers and CBS on purpose for the sole purpose of getting ratings. It's just business as usually for Television. Palin's response should have been short and to the point but she is making a mistake by continuing to roll the ball forward. There is a old saying,

1. You can take the girl out of the trailer park, but sometimes you just can't get the trailer park out of the girl.
2. You can take a black out of the ghetto, but sometimes you just can't get the ghetto out of the black.
3. You can take the red neck out of the country, but sometimes you just can't get the country out of the red neck.
4. You can take the city slicker out of the city, but sometimes you can't get the city out of the city slicker.
5. You can take someone from New Jersey to New York, but sometimes you can't get the Jersey out of them.

Do I need to keep going?

It might be great ratings if Palin and Letterman went on the Jerry Springer show. A little hair pulling, chair throwing, slap fight at 12:00 p.m. makes for great popcorn eating entertainment. :smt038

And yea, my mom is pretty proud of my life thus far. Her caning and locking me in the basement with the rats really paid off!

I am not trying to start anything here, and I certainly am not part of the PC crowd,

But why should this comment be acceptable? But, do not say anything about, "you can take someone out of the ghetto, but you just can't the ghetto out of them."

I think one should be able to use either phrase.. but damn sure don't be heard using the Ghetto phrase in some locales.

*** for tat

Thus why I posted, she is kinda carrying on with something that while was offensive to her (and to most people), is sidetracking her from the day to day and she has been kind of using it for more media attention.

I would watch your production of that Jerry Springer show in a minute!

You know the country has gone to PC when there's always some argument about what one said to another. It used to be that people just had enough respect for others that certain things were not open for discussion. Now it's like a bunch of kids in the schoolyard "he called me a name". Thats when we know the media has turned us into a bunch of mindless idiots, we judge what we say to people by what the media would think of the comment. It's like a scorecard of who said what, and how it was phrased, they can spin it however they want. I wonder if it would be a big story if Rush or Hannity made a comment about Mrs. Obama or one of her kids. Not sure how you make Washington and the media grow up and quite the namecalling, I know I'm tired of it.

I read earlier that billandamy just wanted to create controversy. Well...it worked. Why would you want to do that? Isn't there enough controversy in our everyday lives?
