Water pooling in cabin 1989 Amberjack 270

The water is collecting on the cabin floor just as you step down in, but The boat is currently up on trailer and tilted slightly. I have noticed wet patch at the forward part of cabin floor and think the water is actually running down from there to pool in the lowest point.

Water pooling in cabin 1989 Amberjack 270

Yes...actually...happens every time it rains...made sure no rain is getting in from cabin/cockpit area...No leaking from the forward hatches, or portholes...No heavy amount of water in the bilge area as well... The fresh water system is working well and no leaks. Replaced the strainer, pump and...

    Correct starter/solenoid motor

Trying to find the correct starter/solenoid model for my 1989 Mercruiser 4.3LX's. I tried starting up engines this past weekend. Got the little "click" (slave solenoids near carb) Jumpered across their terminals and got big "CLICK" from starter solenoid. Nothing from starter. I'll replace the...

    Fuel filter/water separator?

89' Amberjack 270. I replaced the small fuel filters built into the pump ( the old ones were ceramic, who knew?). I have what looks to be a fuel filter water separator coming off the fuel tanks. There are bolts at top and bottom. Is there a screw on type filter inside?

    Bilge Blower tubing

Is there anything "marine" specific to bilge blower tubing? Can you use generic vinyl dryer vent tubing, or is there recommendations due to the possible presence of vaporized gas?

12 Volt fuse box on my 1989 Sundancer

I have an '89 Amberjack 270. Mine uses switch breakers on the dash for 12VDC 10A and 20A circuits. The switches themselves ARE the breakers, so no fuse box required. In addition there is a set of 4 button type breakers near the battery bank. The switch breakers for the 120VAC circuits are in the...

Fuel Filter location 1989 AJ 270...

I did, and what I ended up finding is that my engine does NOT in fact have a screw on type filter/water-separator. It uses a small filter within a housing at the fuel pump.

Fuel Filter location 1989 AJ 270...

Going through maintenance on new (to me 1989 AJ 270). Thought I knew where the fuel/water -separator filter is, but what I have is a bell housing with retaining nut coming off the fuel tank. I was thinking the new filter goes inside the housing, but there is no way it will fit, and the housing...

Water pooling in cabin 1989 Amberjack 270

Fresh water blues...Initially I thought water pooling in the cabin was due to a cracked water strainer. Replaced the water strainer...check!...Water pump trips the 12v breaker, and no flow...replaced water pump...check!...Good water flow and immediately water begins exiting from the bottom of...

    Where to put 2-4-C grease?

Yeh, I almost did the same. Learning as I go almost put multi weight Gear Lube in stern drives before realizing that's only for 75hp and below...yikes!

    Where to put 2-4-C grease?

Currently going through re-comissioning a new to me 89 Amberjack 270. I'm replacing all fluids and filters due to the unknown age of what's in there now. So grease fittings on the stern drives...I've got a grease gun loaded with 2-4-C. I see three zirk fittings, but now reading through other...
