1992 Sea Ray 330 Sundancer Refit and Modernization

What are the dimensions on those bilge vents?
they're approximately 14 1/8 x 5 5/8 IIRC. I got to replace mine, they're brittle and one is cracked.

Good luck finding them.
I can’t find any for my 1990 Sea Ray anywhere.
i’ve looked on E Bay, dealers etc.
I even have the part number.
Please post if you find anything

Thanks. No domestic supplier?
Is there a manufacturer on it anywhere?

I couldnt find a US supply that was 48" wide, roll running grain, gloss, and looked similar to what sea ray used.

The company was fine to deal with and shipping was reasonable.

Ill check out back later for a manufacturer indication.

Just a few more to go with the cabinet doors.

I stripped the vberth headboard and other trim to refinish with eversoft 4 way stretch in a creamy white. Also started removing all the carpet. What a PIA.

Im going to try to clean the hull liner with bleach/water from the previous leak stains. I still have the boat unwrapped with just the cockpit cover on, so I can see if there are any other leaks besides what was coming in the rub rail. Im sure theres more leaks, just have to find them. If the hull liner dont clean up, then ill have to look into changing that.

Looking good. Had the same boat but sold it cause I can’t do what you are doing lol

Thanks guys, im on the slippery slope now. You make a few things look better, all the older finishes look a little worse.

Update:

Carpet and trim all removed from berth, main cabin areas, and steps. Just have the mid cabin to do.

I got the rest of the galley upper cabinets done and reinstalled the microwave.

You can see in the above pic the PO installed a smaller fridge (probably to fit in companionway) but used pvc house trim with exposed screws...it just looks hacked.

I removed the fridge and pvc, ripped some MDO, routed the edge, and mitered it in.

Wrapped the new trim and reinstalled the fridge.

You are making me want to buy an older boat now, great work. You should go into business doing this.

Thanks, its just a hobby for me, if it were a job, im sure it wouldnt be fun anymore.

Last winter I asked my canvas guy who does interiors about replacing carpet with sea deck, fake teak, etc. He told me removing the carpet…. If I did myself I would hate life, if I paid him the cost would not be worth it.
The carpet was set in before the cabinetry and seating, so theres quite a bit of disassembly.....I got 2 half days in removal so far, still have the aft seating area to do. Its really not THAT bad, not as bad as grinding fiberglass anyway lol

the flooring will go in after im done making a big mess!

My Sundancer has hardwood in the main cabin and carpet in the staterooms. The hardwood looks like it was put down over the carpet. The guy I purchased it from claimed it was factory.

How are you removing it? This is one of the few things that my wife has asked me to replace on our boat, and I’m not looking forward to it at all.

Jmauld, I take apart what I can access the fasteners, remove the carpet, and set aside til the new carpet goes in on the vertical areas. The area under the galley base i just cut it at the base, ill leave whats under the base, which is light blue, and spray that with carpet dye to match. I bought a roll of OEM Larson beige marine cpt from Great Lakes Skipper for the areas I will re-carpet.

Great work. Would be awesome if you had some video or pictures and a blog on "how to do it." The cabinets are great.
