Hello everyone. Wanted to introduce myself. I just stepped up from a 290 to a 400DA with twin diesels. Our maiden voyage was repositioning her from Midland ON to Keswick ON along the Trent-Severn waterway. It took us 8 hrs total yesterday. Love the boat, ran 8hrs on a 1/4 tank of fuel just wow! Previous owner had it 16 years and was very meticulous. Going to be so much more comfortable for our family of 4. Here’s some pics. Not wishing the last few weeks away (October 11 haul) but coming to the end of a really great first season with our boat. About 100 hours, just over 1000 gallons of fuel burned. Couldn’t travel internationally because of covid so looking forward to that next year.
It’s such a great boat, I’m still thrilled everytime we take it out.
got a few things planned this winter:
Wood floor in cabin
DC power posts in transom so I can hook pumps up without lifting engine hatch
Mount TV to arch
Trim tabs over prop tunnels
Rewire outdoor speakers to be on their own channel on my new amp
Wire indoor speakers to go to zone 1 on fusion
CO detector replace
How’s everyone else’s season gone? Any winter upgrades?
Yeah, I think we just had our last great weekend weather wise over here in MI. Sunny and perfect both Saturday and Sunday. Now...now it all goes downhill.
I've got a few things planned for this winter:
New mattress (foam DIY)
Cabin flooring (marine weave, not ready for wood yet )
All new bilge pumps (preventative)
Maybe replace the radar and large MFD if I can find a nice used Garmin setup this winter
keep us posted on the mattress project. We need one too, I did a 3” topper this year and it was ok but I’d like to replace it completely.
It sounds like you had an amazing first season on your 410 - well done! I assume you will be sleeping on your boat a lot in the future. 10+ years ago ago I purchased a mattress from HMY, in Fort Lauderdale. They talked me thru making a paper template - it was easy. I templated the mattress to fill in almost 100% of the platform, creating a bigger bed than the factory one. I think it’s 8” thick, has pillow top and its made from latex and other layers. The bottom is made from a mold free type of material - critical on a boat! I look forward to sleeping on our boat. But even more importantly, my wife loves sleeping on our boat. Out of all the upgrades I have done on our boat, this ranks #1!
definitely considering it, so much so that we may pick a warm vacation spot somewhere south so I can go feel some material/samples and make a decision. I know they're not cheap, but after 90 nights on the boat this year it will be worth the investment.

Forward is 7KDoes anyone happen to know the GPM for the A/C water pump? The label doesn’t indicate this spec. Also, I know my salon A/C is 12,000 BTU. Can anyone confirm that the forward stateroom is also 12,000 BTU?
Thanks for all the info. I was thinking about 5 GPM. I’m surprised the forward unit is that much smaller than the salon unit. The forward unit has two full ducts (one in salon and one in forward stateroom) along with a small duct in the forward head. While the salon unit only has one large duct in salon and small ducts in the aft head and aft stateroom.
Thinking my 410 has a 9k forwardDoes anyone happen to know the GPM for the A/C water pump? The label doesn’t indicate this spec. Also, I know my salon A/C is 12,000 BTU. Can anyone confirm that the forward stateroom is also 12,000 BTU?
My forward ac quit and was a 12k btu from 1998 so I am assuming it was OEM. My salon is a 16K btu unit and still runs ice cold. It also looks to be OEM. Boat was ordered new in Florida, so maybe they used different sized units?Thinking my 410 has a 9k forward
