I'm curious about the new water pumps and transmission solenoids. Was that preventive or in response to breakage?

The first solenoid to go was for reverse. It quit shifting when docking which is not good! After 2 months the forward solenoid did he same thing and was replaced. The water pumps needed work and were beyond repair due to problems with the bores.

Just curious as I'm trying to educate myself on diesels before deciding to go diesel or gas - seems like you've had to do a ton of work recently in essentially getting her back to spec. Is that normal, especially for a vessel with low hours for a diesel?

Looks like catching up to maintenance and keeping current with electronics is all. Warm salt water is tough on boats!

The new owner fueled up in Clearwater late yesterday afternoon. Weather looks good for a crossing today…….10 its of wind from SW and 1-2 ft seas on the port beam on this end.

Chip loves the boat and says she ran flawlessly up the coast to his fuel stop.
