Finishing up garmin GC200 engine room cameras. Want to know when my pods fall out. Shaps you need them too. V Drive guys are ok. 1 more camera to go. On order. Probably put it dead center of the QSC’s.

@Aml327 thats a great view!
In all seriousness, what are you hoping to capture on them?
Looks like you mounted them over the turbos looking aft?

I didn't even

I didn't even think to try that yet. How do I set that up now? I also need to set it up on the Raymarine MFD's as I am sure I can get it there also.

Next I need a fridge with N2K to make sure the beer is stocked and kept cold... put an alarm on that one.
It's on the VV7 as long as you have it connected to the NMEA network. Scroll to the generator on the bottom scroll bar and bring that up; a couple of pages of data will be there. Same data as available on the DSM410.
Data is also available on navigation MFD provided they are also connected to the NMEA network.

That is correct.Good eyes. My wife asked the same question. Which I have no answer for. Just wanted to use the Garmins to there full potential. Snow on ground.. So the Treeman is shut down. Idle time is the devils workshop.

it looks like your in my old slip at WSM. I have my cams pointed at what I thought would be a problem area the shafts and down the center at the strainers anywhere I thought water would /could enter. Nice boat

Thankyou slip A3east. This is how my VV502 displays genset data

I compounded and polished all the smooth gelcoat on the bow. Needed it, and with more snow forecast for tomorrow I needed to get out of the house.
I'm going to clean up the non skid as well..

Have you use the Shurhold bistle brush on the non-skid? It works wonders!

What cameras did you go with? Is Garmin like Raymarine where they make it difficult to use other IP cameras or they plug right in? I was thinking to add a couple more cameras in my engine room as I have one now pointed down the center to see the strainers and through hulls.

They use what they call a garmin marine network cable. Same as computer cable I believe. Then it can be reduced to a garmin small marine network cable. The small cable looks similar to a n2k cable but slightly different ends.

How do you use it?... there are 3 different versions

I use the yellow brush. https://shurhold.com/products/dap-s...i5J1qqxIzhVJOSYnbxvDJHIJaVu0AO-UaAqA2EALw_wcB

I have their dual action polisher. There really isn't anything special about it. Just a dual action random orbital, variable speed. The video explains it all. Very easy to do. I used to use Woody Wax after I would wash the boat. I felt like that didn't last too long and actually created a build-up that looked dirty. Using a liquid polish and the yellow brush, the non-skid looks amazing and is super easy to clean. Bird poop and other stuff cleans off with ease.

That sure is a lot of money to spend on access to the sump. Why not install a hatch lid? It's easy to do and inexpensive. I installed this one (see pic) a few years back and have seen others with similar type of hatches, some smaller and some even round.
The hatch fit perfectly across so the edges lined up, I drilled holes in the hatch to line up with the bolt holes on the sump box and one extra on the plexiglass for the inside edge. The existing gasket worked perfect and I used silicone on the inside edge of the plexiglass.

Where here can I find one with clear lid?

What happened to Jeffery???? Last we chatted he had a crazy offer on his 48.... Did he jump ship and move on????

Anyone have an outlet for replacing gas struts on engine compartment hatch? Size and weight would be big help. TIA

Got info from sea ray and ordered mine on line. Upgraded to stainless ends instead of plastic. I’ll look to see if I can find paperwork

I get mine down the street at Boat Owners Warehouse. I would have to look at mine and go get you the size. Yes I would upgrade to the stainless ends also as they sell both. I won't be at the boat until next weekend again sorry but if you haven't found them by then drop me a PM and I will get you a part number off mine.
