Oh man id hate to make that phone call... boy this really makes you think safety on every boat no matter the size should be reassesed...

I wonder what type of mechanical failure could lead to such a disaster on a vessel that size.

It was a charter yacht, what a nice vessel! It must have been something pretty dramatic to cause it to sink.

Glad all made it off OK. Shame on the loss of the ship it is beautify. Every yacht needs a beauty room. Love the aft deck pool... One question why weren't the life rafts 10 ft above their heads deployed? Would have made rescue a bit less rushed as they clung to the side of the yacht...
