We like the seasons, but we like time on the water more….
Good drink choice JimView attachment 113273 I too am sad to see the season end. But I also look forward to fall and winter so I can get some things done around the house as we are at the boat EVERY weekend for the short 5 month season. I enjoy drinking around the fireplace in the cabin too!
That's the same way I feel, more and more each year. You know I personally like when the boat goes away for 5 months…it’s a rest…
You had that great trip bringing her home. This season felt abnormally short of boat use. Weather didn't cooperate (rain, high winds), and my kids had a lot of weekend sports stuff.
Same here I don’t pull the boat until the first week of December, fall is my favorite time of year all the yo-yos are off the water and I get to relax and enjoy a few months of calm boating and fishing, I keep the Achilles in most of the year and do clamming and seal watching over the winter, Long Island we still have year round boating. This is why I don’t winterize until around Thanksgiving. Then, it’s just 3 months of no boating. That’s just enough time for a warm weather vacation and getting a few boat upgrade projects going. By March, we are chomping at the bit. We unwrap before April. Keeping the off-season as short as possible helps.
