Anyone use Fusion MS-BT100 bluetooth?

I tried using a fm transmitter but the radio noise is still very audible behind the music. In fact I would say it’s 50/50.
so am Looking to add this to my 2003 280DA. I have the clarion XDM1.
Can someone tell Me How this connection would work? Do I pull out and tap into the wires behind the clarion system?
If so, any idea how to remove the clarion system?
My first piece of advice, dont go with 12 yr old bluetooth tech on a 19 yr old head unit. IF a universal external BT receiver would work, there are far better units then the fusion 100.

2nd piece, id just upgrade to something new like the Clarion M608 and MW1 or MW3 wired remotes. Blue tooth is integrated, UBS and dual AUX-in.

Think it's worth swapping out the original Clarion XMD1 for a Fusion RA70? Current setup has 4 Wetsounds speakers in cockpit and a JL sub.

Its worth upgrading to anything from the 21st century.

On a more serious note, go with the RA70-NSX as its compatible with both the wired and wireless remote.

I installed mine right above the radio in the breaker panel. Looking at the radio it's right there next to it. I can go 2 boats down either way on my dock and still works great.
So Mnm, when you say in the breaker panel do you mean behind what you can see? I ask because I just got one and noticed Kevin stated he mounted it behind the radio so I’m assuming these units are not visible when looking at the breaker panels.
Did you guys actually mount it with a screw or use double sided tape or tie wraps?

Thanks,

I installed the bt100 last night and all worked out. I noticed that I have to reconnect every time power is off on the radio. On all my other Bluetooth devices when I approach it connects automatically.

Anyone else notice the same?

I also found wires already connected to the aux inputs but could not trace them to anything. I turned on the tv and looked for aux output settings to no avail. For now I just disconnected them and plugged in the bt100 leads.

Maybe there are from the forward DVD player ?

The next time I have the electrical panel open I'll have to run a continuity test to that DVD player and check.

The bt100 works great so I'm happy. I used the double sided tape on the inside of the cabinet wall just over the radio and I can control it from two boats away at the dock.
