At 5 years old the kid is signing autographs at boat shows...

This part of it is just for fun. But he is a serious racer. 2nd place today in quarter midgets at Hagerstown, MD which is a local track for us. Last weekend we were in SC where he raced against some of the best kids in the country in his kart. Including The late 2 time indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon's son. Ben and Sebastian Wheldon battled it out over the 2 race days. Ben had a podium finish in the final on Saturday beating Wheldon by one spot. On Sunday Ben was off to a great start but spun towards the end of the first lap and only made it back up to sixth.

You do know that you are creating a monster don't you?

What is Ben going to be racing when he is 16-18? Do you do know what a balanced and blue printed aluminum V-8 built to run at 7000 rpms or an engineered chassis for a dirt car costs? It doesn't really matter......if you have found a common interest that hold a 5 year old's attention this well, then you struck it rich. Enjoy the ride as long as it lasts!
