My '03 has the VesselView on it, it gives tons of more info than the Sea Ray systems monitor. People are now beginning to install "Vessel View Mobile" to connect to your phone or tablet. It supposedly provides even more engine data at your fingertips.

Here's a thread about updating the Systems View to VesselView:

Has anyone refilled their Sea Fire Halon 1301 bottle or replaced it? Surveyor recommended having the current bottle weighed in his findings. Current owner had that done and the bottle needs to be serviced. Current owner is addressing this and it is the only thing left so we can take ownership of the boat. Unfortunately no one in our town wants to touch the bottle and shipping it seems to be an issue because of the 1301. Owner has a call to Sea Fire to see if they have a solution, but thought I would check here also.

Thanks, I will save this link. The surveyor listed the current SmartCraft display as readable, but badly faded. As long as it is usable, I will put the Vessel View change out in the upgrade to do list rather than the must do list.

Never mind, current owner has decided to replace the system with a new Sea Fire system prior to the sale. :) Wants to make sure we are getting a boat with no known issues. :)

I found your post looking for info on fuel sensors and the lack of accuracy. I had mine re-calibrated in May and they were working for a few weeks. I had found info on calibration but to have an empty tank and fill and calibrate at different levels. This method is not practical. I decided to check the sensors since the port side tank always states "full". I swapped them from tank to tank. The problem followed the sensor. I went to a Sea Ray dealer to order the sensors and they have not been produced for about three years. The new fix is to go from the sonar sensor to a float sensor. The float sensor is at least a foot long. I'd have to cut holes in my cockpit floor to install them!! I could remove the tanks to install them. I'm disappointed in Sea Ray if this is their best solution. They should have found the root cause of the sonar sensor failures and fixed them.

Does anyone out there have another solution?

I have not found a solution as yet although it’s far from the top of my priority list. Pretty tough getting me to spend more than a little time on a repair project in August.

We finally took ownership of our 2003 360DA on Monday. Exciting delivery cruise as we were trying to be afternoon Thunderstorms and almost made it. Rain started 100 yards from the slip and as I was pivoting to back-in the gust front hit us. Just had the stern in before it really started blowing. Thankfully there were four of us aboard as just my wife and I would have never been able to get us tied up. By the time we were done we had Tropical Storm type winds of 45kts. Deck boxes blowing over, metal tearing off the side of the shops building and rain blowing sideways so you could barely see past the bow of the boat. An exciting first time driving a boat with split throttle and shifters! Since then it has rained everyday and we are yet to leave the slip.

Still glad to be part of the 360DA owners club!

    Congratulations on your purchase!
I've owned mine for 16 months now. Here's something I should have done: I should have had the spark plugs and impellers changed (or at least had some documentation as to when it had been done last) as terms of sale or at least changed them out as soon as I got my boat. I had one spark plug break off in the cylinder head due to rust. Also, since I have no idea as to the age of the manifolds I'll most likely change them out this winter.

Thanks. Previous owner changed them last year. He changed them every two years, labeled them and kept them. Each change he would compare plug to plug from the same cylinder. Impellers were changed in May during a yard period that included bottom paint, new shaft seals, shaft alignment, prop scans and new zincs. Manifolds and risers were changed two weeks ago, oil change at same time. Previous owner wanted to make sure the new owner got a boat in perfect condition. Survey found no issues with the boat except a bad fire bottle in engine room. Since it was halon and could not be filled, previous owner put a brand new Sea Fire system in.

We couldn't be happier, even though the boat was sold, the previous owner cleaned the boat bow to stern on the day we took ownership.

It sounds like maybe a leak in the R134 refrigerant. I just had this with a home AC, compressor and fan ran, but since I had a refrigerant leak, the compressor had nothing to push through the coils.
