It would be unconstitutional to deny someone’s rights because they don’t have the vaccine ..... like today you can’t deny a kid an education because the kid doesn’t have all his shots.....yet the school requires them but still allows them in without the vaccines... no one has ever asked me to show them my immunizations to do anything.. why would it change now

Soon, we won’t have to worry about that pesky thing called the Constitution.

It's perfectly constitutional for states to mandate vaccinations and it's been tested numerous times. All fifty states require student vaccinations before starting school, albeit usually with proven medical or religious exemptions that vary from state to state and those can be overridden in the event of outbreaks.
In the private sector, vaccination as a condition of employment is quite common, especially in the medical business.
I have an immunization certificate for international travel. It used to be quite common to need to show that everywhere one went but in the first world it's largely been obviated by international agreements. But there are still places where it has to be shown for travel, I expect it will make a comeback, at least temporarily, unless and until covid is eradicated.

And BOOM.... just like that - you’re wrong. Employers can absolutely mandate employees to be vaccinated. Many (most?) healthcare systems mandate vaccines for employees including annual flu vaccines, and as soon as the COVID vaccine is out of EUA, I’m sure it will be the same. But hey, feel free to get back to your career as a constitutional lawyer oh wise one.

that is a weird post....what was your point?...an employer can have any mandate they want...that wasn’t my point.... both Colorado and Indiana are not mandating the COVID vaccine in 3 of the biggest hospitals... so what?...

Agreed. It's not mandated for sheriff's or firemen here either. I know quite a few of both who have said F that vaccine!

Well they are all in it together and playing us for fools. I was talking with a local Congressman about the R&D Credit which constantly has to be extended. When ask, why it can't just be permanent, he said they need the issue to "run on." If the problems where actually solved, what would they run on?
The problem with ALL politicians, is that their #1 priority is getting re elected. They feed us a line of crap they campaign on, and once they win their seat for a second, or 10th time, they always seem to forget why they went to DC to begin with. They all start out as movers and shakers to change the status quo of politics and almost always become the status quo of politics.

I agree with you on employment, but most, if not all public school systems require immunizations to attend

Employers will require proof of vaccinations. Airlines, grocery stores, hospitals, schools, any group can mandate employees comply w a health policy to “protect the public”.

The Fed cannot, yet. But they can make it difficult for you to function if you don’t. See post offices, drivers license and tag agencies and then the BIG ONE, social security and Medicare.

There are ways to make you comply.

No that’s not the case everywhere.. we have kids in our school system that are not vaccinated

It's just another way they try to control the population. It's complete BS. The vaccine protects the vaccinated from infection. I am perfectly capable of determining my risks of infection and the consequences of not getting vaccinated. Leave me the fk alone.

Snappy comment, totally misleading but it sounds really cute. Using round numbers here’s how it works out.

A vaccine is effective at preventing 95% of the population that are vaccinated from getting COVID.

The human immune system is 99ish % effective at fighting COVID after infection.

That means:

With vaccination, 1% of the 5% vaccinated (for whom vaccination doesn’t work) will suffer adverse to fatal conditions.

Without vaccination, 1% of 100% of the unvaccinated population will suffer adverse to fatal conditions.

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that 1% of 5% is a heck of a lot smaller than 1% of 100%. Mr. Schaffer should have thought a little more before tweeting to the whole world such a dumbass comment.
