So to my point it was all media.... he wore a mask but didn’t let the media see it.... just priceless ....and nothing on the networks

Maybe I should say, ridiculously overblown charge that the feds said it wasn’t worth perusing. After all, how dare a commercial pilot have two properties, one out of state, and not pay the proper taxes.

She should team up w Pritzker from Illinois. I think he wins the Moron of the State Governors award.

I don’t look to self loving, egotistical, megalomaniacs obsessed with fame and the collection of power. I don’t care if an R, D, I, or any other letter follows the name.
Upper level state and federal elected officials are all a bunch of group-sexed, bong-smokin, Katie Hill’s at heart anyway. Why would I ever look to someone I know nothing about for leadership?
I followed my late father, my trusted colleagues, my God, and my instincts.

Please....lay-off the leadership thing with this band o’ monkeys we got in DC nowadays.

Its funny that Trump has said that he admires both Putin and Xi Jinping in the past. And now he is going to bring in laws to restrict social media (reacting to fact checking flags on a couple of his tweets). Very much like Xi Jinping and Putin.

If you think that he is the supreme defender of the US Constitution, how do you explain this absolute dictatorial assault on the first amendment.

What is next?

I don't think the media are acting like Xi or Putin. That is not the issue and a weird spin on what I said. There is no free media in China or Russia. The media cannot criticize their leaders because they are controlled by the State. They cannot fact check because they are not permitted and are the agents of state propaganda.

Twitter are not removing false statements. (ie. say what you want - freedom of speech is sustained) They are just flagging anyone's false statements with a link to fact checked sources of information. That applies to anyone that is posting on Twitter. For example if a radical democrat tweeted that they know for a fact that Donald Trump molested a little girl when he was in university, I would expect that would also be flagged (or possibly be deleted).

That is very different than state controlled media in China or Russia. Trump seems to want the State to control the media, just because it is "critical" of him by flagging falsehoods. Do you not see that as a fundamental difference? Freedom of speech and freedom of the media is absolutely fundamental to freedom of people. So it is important that people be free to say what they want, but it is also important that media (press, social media platforms) be free to flag facts vs fiction. Then let the reader decide by getting educated about the facts.

There is a segment of every population that believes every word of what the head of the government says to be absolute fact. It is very dangerous if the State controls the media and has the ability to make false statements without checks. All dictatorial and communist regimes make control of the media and limitations on free speech a fundamental tool to manipulate its people. Trump knows he cannot do that legally, so he has endlessly claimed that the media (other than those that support his every word) are liars. Even Fox gets slammed by him if they ever even slightly challenge something he has done. He has somehow got a significant portion of the US population convinced that they should not believe the press, but they should only believe him. Its lunacy.

Hey Donald, you will never get a fact check flag if you don't put false statements in your tweets. Real simple.

From my minimal understanding, Twitter and the publicly accessible “media” are legally categorized as “platforms” which provide certain legal and tax benefits for the owners. In contrast, NBC, and the like, are legally “publishers” who are solely in control and responsible for content.

Since Twitter, in President’s opinion, are apparently biased in the soft censoring, aka Fact Checking, they are acting more like a publisher than an open platform. As such, he is moving to reclassify them, not restrict content.

Now, our beloved friends to the east, Putin/XiPing, will just shut them down or remove any content unfavorable.

Any lawyers or CPA’s please correct me, if I am wrong.

The problem is that the twitter and media is trying to defining what are "facts." Thus they get nitpicky stupid. For example, Trump says California is sending mail in ballots to "everyone." Reporters say it's "a lie" they are only sending to "registered voters." That's what they call a distinction without a difference.

And here's a news flash. All politicians lie.

So why would he take offense to that clarification provided by Twitter? Maybe he could have some of the people in his administration fact check his tweets BEFORE they get posted?

Because it only works one way. Adam Schiff can come out and tell outrageous lies about "Trump the Russian agent" and they don't flag his posts.
