Heard about it 2 weeks ago on "Clark Howard" radio - happened to us/our friends today. Hackers broke into my wife's facebook and posted to friends on line that we were robbed in London and needed cash wired ASAP. One of our friends went back and forth with the hackers for several iterations before challenging them for personal info, which they were able to partially answer (correctly spelled kids names).

We've had several phone calls and e-mails on the topic today. Beware.

I’m glad it all worked out.
Did your wife use a easy to hack password?

A 'heads up' for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers. This one caught me by surprise.

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic.

Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.

Here's how the scam works:

Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds.

You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing.. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen August 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th & 29th. Also September 1st & 4th, Twice on the 8th, three times last Saturday and very likely again this upcoming evening.

So tell your friends to be careful.

P.S. Walmart has wallets on sale for 2.99 each.

Wow...where did this happen, I feel it my duty to go and sacrifice myself and the possibly file a report to the proper authorities.:smt001

That Facebook scam was also pulled on my sister in-laws Hotmail e-mail address. It got hacked and they mass mailed the same BS story out. She was able to get a warning out after close family members called her about the "Joke E-mail" she sent them. The hackers actually blocked her out of her e-mail after she shot out the warning. Hotmail cleared it up relatively quickly.

The exact same thing happened to my friend on his hotmail account. Lost all of his contacts. I recently had one for an online store that sent emails to all in my contact list but did not show in my outbox. I emailed the store and threatened them so it stopped after that.
