Strange feeling, last year the three of us were on the strip at Las Vegas to see the New a Year in.

This year, my wife had pain written all over her face this morning, and after a 12 hour sleep, was back in bed at 11am. So daughter and I took the Labrador to the the boat and out to our favourite sandbar which totally finished him, he's in his bed snoring.

My daughter has shogun off to a NYE party, and my wife is back in bed at 9.20pm, she kept herself awake to see the 9pm fireworks.

I have friends over the back having a few drinks, but it just doesn't seem right, leaving my wife alone, even if she is asleep.

So I'm left sitting here with a Chivas 18yo, contemplating whether I should crack the Royal Salute 21 yo, I bought.

Texting with Rob, who's on the harbour (***,?<~?') on Le Cabaret, and Swordfisherman from CSR Phililpines, who is at a Sydney Harbour waterfront restaurant next to the Harbour Bridge, both giving me a run down of the night......Thanks Guys.

So here I am as Wayne says, with my weird internet friends....

Seriously though, I have really enjoyed this forum over the last year, and I would like to take this opportunity as the year ends to wish you all a Happy New Year, I wish you all a prosperous 2014 and hope that your dreams come to fruition.

Thank You all for your comraderie and here's looking forward to more in 2014!

Happy New Year!!!

CSR is great for making friends in all time zones. It is still morning on NYE here with over 13 hours until countdown.

I'm cracking a Powers 12YO Irish later.

Hope your day ends great, MM

Happy New Year Ian... I have enjoyed your posts this year from down under. Best of wishes to your wife and family!

Same here on enjoying Ian's posts. May they continue frequently in 2014.

Happy New Year everyone, especially to Wayne.

Happy New Year to all of you down under. Today is all about making the Admiral happy on our Anniversary. A few surprises in store for her today...

Happy New Year, the Chivas sounds good but the Royal Salute sounds better. Hope your wife is feeling better. That is a hell of a way to bring in the new year.
