I have a shorter table pedastal to convert the cockpit table into a berth. I have been unable to remove the exisiting pedastal or the table. I don't want to damage it by forcing it too much. Is there a secret?

Smacking the side of the pole while pulling up on it. That's always worked for me but watch out for the "recoil". Don't want it breaking loose and gettin ya right in the mouth.

I have the same boat, same issue. I'm thinking of trying an oil filter wrench to solve.

A hefty whack or two in each direction always does it for me. (ahem, slippery slope here...)

I would think the splines would offer a lot of resistance to the twisting from a filter wrench.

I had the same problem with my 330 upon purchase. I sprayed it with PB Blaster ( From Home depot or the likes) and let it sit. I did that a couple of times then hit it with a rubber mallet. It eventually broke free!

Yeah, just got back from the dentist. My table leg came out and got me right in the mouth. I looked like a hockey player and now have a new cap and a gash across my upper lip. After looking at the responses, must be common...LOL

Dude
That was not in the instructions anywhere...

If you have a strap wrench that would work well. I usually rap on it a few times on each side then wiggle it up.
