I-Phone VS Droid and Boating Apps

Droid hotspot through Sprint is $30 a month, i believe...can't bring myself to spend that since I already have one of their Sprint cards for my laptop.

Grimmspeed/Justin--
Speakers on transom are Sea Ray standard upgraded/premium stereo option on later model 340s. Having said this, you can get the JL speakers at most Marine/stereo suppliers. Many in our marina have added new speakers in transom, but for obvious reasons, they have not "dug-out" fiberglas/gel coat and have installed flush-mounted speakers instead.

Hope this helps?!! And Yes, I truly love the tunes when rafted up on a beautiful summer day!

Awesome, thank you for the info!

All--
Moreover, apparently there has been some problems with Navionics apps and the Droid X. Has anybody with the Droid X experienced this?????

Yes, I have had some issues with Navionics on my Droid Incredible. Sometimes the charts will display without detail making them useless. At other times it works normally. There was a automatic update earlier this week and so far it seems to be working. Perhaps they fixed the glitch.

Neat droid app, kind of related - Google Sky Maps -

I have a hard time understanding why they let anybody & everybody sell or give away apps through their Market. An example.... there might be 100 apps for a particular function. 94 of them suck or don't work at all. Seems to me that it would be worth weeding out the pretenders in order to supply superior products and possibly avoid these attacks on the platform.

This is one of the reasons that I have postponed developing Boating Suite for Android.

Android might have a big market share but the platform is fragmented and unstable...in my opinion.

For those of us that love our Droid's and don't desire to move to I Phone, we or at least me wish you would reconsider. Yes I know they should have tighter control, but I for one am very selective on what I download and what I don't. I would love to have your application, but not interested in moving to the I phone for now anyway.
