Keep Track of Rising Prices

We paid $2.55 a gallon for red fuel at the end of the year. It was $3.07 two weeks ago and $3.12 yesterday.

Not sure what it is at our fuel dock yet but went to the local station yesterday that has ethanol free and paid $4.14/gallon. Fuel dock is usually a little higher so probably about $4.99 there

Paid $3.75 at Norman’s (for middle river boaters on here) then on way to Sunset Cove, passed Long Beach had $3.40. Norman’s used to be cheapest, be going LB next time.

All I have heard for the last 8 weeks is a bone in wing shortage at restaurants.... well today I paid $12 for 8 wings.... so the shortage is working

Gas at the pump for the truck, $2.79. Gas at the Cheboygan County docks, $4.29. Seems a bit much of a difference to me...but I will make the best use of that gas I can.

Went to my local bar to order wings to go. I had looked at their online menu and it said $11.99. So I ordered them and gave the bartender a $20. He came back and gave me $4 and change. I said they were $11.99, he told me $15.99. I asked him to give me my money back. In this day and age it takes 10 seconds to change your online prices.

Road gas just hit $3:45 in my neighborhood. That’s going to hurt.

Still only 3.24 here but I'm expecting quite higher

Surprisingly diesel @ the marina this weekend was $3.19, it's $3.17- $3.19 at a regular gas station. I was really expecting it to be around $4. Unleaded was $3.98 @ the marina but $3.15 @ the local stations. Needless to say I said fill it up as I'm sure $3.19 diesel@ the marina isn't going to last but at least I got 245 gallons at that price.

$3.56 for diesel yday at the marina. My local gas station was $3.25 for diesel.

80 bucks to fill up the Jeep today. Thanks Joe.
I try to time my fill-ups as I leave Northpoint and purchase the gas at the BP on Russell Road and Sheridan. I save about .40 a gallon that way.

I was in Sam's the other day looking to see what the trend is in pricing fresh meats. What really got my attention was beef tenderloin. 3 weeks ago whole beef tenderloin (rough trim, still has a fat layer on the outside) $11.98/# last week it was $27.98/#. No, that isn't a typo.

Trimmed tenderloin was $18.98/# and last week it was $28.98.

I know some of this is from the hack, but not all of it by any means.

Ethanol free at the local station was 4.14 a few weeks ago and was 4.65 at the marina. Regular fuel is 3.25 here now. We were in Ohio the other day and it was 2.65 so we topped off even though we had 1/2 tank. Why not...lol

Rancher are not seeing a price increase in cattle. Wyoming is in drought and so are other cattle states. Herds are being reduced so price of live cattle will drop. Processing plants are not paying more for workers. Covid is ending. Wonder what next excurse for price increase will be.

I have also noticed just about every company that was "helping" during the pandemic by not raising fees/prices are now making up for lost time. So far I have seen an increase in: cable TV, Terminix, ADT and probably some others I have not noticed. These are the ones that at least have the guts to just send you a letter and say they are raising rates by $X instead of it just quietly appearing. You had to know all the "help" during Covid was not going to be free. The best one is Chipotle - they caved to the pressure to raise their minimum pay to $15/hr, and they also raised their prices accordingly and even said it was a direct result of the pay increase. I am sure others will follow.
