The fact that we left this equipment behind is inexcusable. Honestly biden and the generals that supported this need to be removed for treason. Unfortunately that would make Kamala president. I think I prefer biden.

It is called the uniparty and it’s members control DC. I will use one issue as an example, we all know the Democrats position on illegal immigration, but Republicans have had 12 years in the last 20 to do something about it and did not because over half of their elected members agree with the Democrats, no matter what they say during their election campaigns, albeit for different reasons.

Mike, I am in agreement with you here. Those guys play their role in public and then go home and smoke Cubans together.
 
I am in violent agreement with most said in this thread. But, referring to those dems the way I have and you do is divisive. If we want to make change in this country, maybe we need to change our approach. I have found changing my approach with dems and some liberals at least allows us to converse, and maybe find common ground. Believe me, it ain’t easy, but I think we can all agree that continuing to divide this country isn’t working. Then maybe when we have a solid candidate, some folks closer to the middle, will help us get him/her elected! And just maybe we will finally have a solid 2 term president, that truly shows the world why America is Great!!!!!

The only lives that don’t change before, during, and after an election, are the politicians! They need to be The People again!! No free healthcare for these rich pricks! No guaranteed pension!!
 
In California we have systems in place to notify residents when a fire is getting near where they live. Level III means get you stuff ready. Level II means put the things you treasure in your car and be ready to leave on a moment's notice. Level I means drive away to safety.

If we can do that in CA, why couldn't a similar system have been created for Afghanistan? And why didn't we start to evacuate Americans and Afghani civilians two to three months ago. We knew the end date (Aug 31), why didn't we have everyone but the troops out by Aug 15?

Everyone but the troops should have been out well before the last GI's were taken out.

If you know anything about night vision you know how they eat batteries. Which hopefully they won't be able to supply.. Sad to think that may be the difference between an advantage or not.

Well knowing how the government spends our tax dollars there are probably millions of batteries over there…. They probably haven’t figured out why yet
 
Horrible end to a horrible futile war effort. There was never any way to prevent the Taliban from taking over quickly. Not Trumps deal and not Biden’s exit. We all had to get out and let it play out.

Canada named the 401 highway into Toronto the “highway of heroes” because those fallen in Afghanistan came from CFB Trenton into Toronto over the highway. Many would stand on the overpasses and salute the motorcades as they passed underneath. 158 Canadian soldiers died there. And 2400 American soldiers.

It was a futile mission from day one. Now the world will have to fight ISIS and Al Qaeda everywhere again now that they will have their home base again.

I guess when a large portion of your people blame the western world for their strife, and not their adherence to 2000 year old principles, it can never change.

Isn't it interesting that you immediately cry about "Republicans" when no one else mentioned Republicans or Democrats except YOU. The only thing I saw brought up was Biden himself, not the party. But I guess you must be one of those people that follow party over policy and couldn't possibly believe that someone who isn't Republican could have issue with Biden. And then you go on ranting about "republicans" being the ones pointing fingers, bitching about everything, etc. Ironically, you are the one bitching (and using the word repeatedly) while accusing others of doing so.
