My good friend Chuck Kaplan, and his companion Pam holstein lost there lives some time Saturday night, or early Sunday morning on Lake Erie. There boat, a 36 Rinker was found washed against the Ceder Point breakwall Sunday afternoon. Pam was later found in the cabin of the boat once it was brought ashore, but Chuck is still out there some where.......... The coast guard has called off all searches as of Monday night. No one all knows what happened yet, but please keep them in your prayers........Some of you who dock at Ceder Point may have known Chuck, and the great person he was. Im still in shock as i write this, and can only hope we can bring Chuck home soon. This is not how i wanted to end the boating season.

Wow Rob ...sorry to hear of your bad news. Was the lake in a nasty condition or did they hit the breakwall at speed?

Thats just it, the lake was nice all weekend, maybe a 1 to 2 foot chop...............the bow of the boat is intact....

Sorry to hear about your friends. They and their families are in our prayers.

Oh wow, What a loss, And they are definitely in our prayers as are you!!!

Wow. Sorry to hear this. I wonder if it could have been station wagon affect with CO?

Sorry to hear about your friends.

Terrible news, I am wondering about possible CO poisoning also.

I read an associated press article that said the boat capsized on a break wall.
