You don't find that "hello fresh" ad in the middle of the screen a little obnoxious?

I don't like add excess stuff to my computer. Always seems to eventually bog it down.
It's not the ads so much as the placement of them, right in the middle of the screen. Plus, now they are like 2-3 times larger than they used to be.

At least I get different ads on my ipad than I do in chrome.
That big red bar for NEXT is annoying. But oh well.
And your right @Blueone - we can only express our unhappiness with a forum that doesn't manage ad placement so many times.

Well that’s my point… there is a solution but if you don’t like it you live with the ads. For what it’s worth nothing slows down
No it eventually slows down, as things become more data hogs. Every ad has to go thru the blocker.

Adblock is a browser add on not a separate program like the antivirus programs. I’ve used it for years with no noticeable slowdown on my browsing.

The site is still very very slow to load and post in the EST morning(s). In the afternoon it seems to fix itself and is very fast. What ever task(s) are running in the morning seem to bring this site to it's knees. Posting anything can take almost a minute or two to complete.
That’s what I get, plus a 3-4 inch ad at the top and bottom of the page. 2 to 3 times the size they used to be.
It's done that for quite a while now. Some servers steer CPU priority when daily backup activities occur and that greatly slows access; maybe that is what is happening. We did server backup (maintenance) before work in the early mornings so it didn't interrupt access.

It's the ask the captains section, available to gold and platinum only. I know the silver is only $25, but it's still a paying member, apparently you don't think the $25 means anything.
