I was lucky in two ways, both of mine are bronze. The second, I have a great slip neighbor. He took my old one and rebuilt it with new seals and bearings. Now I have a spare

Have a question about stereo amps. I can turn a wrench OK, but don’t know diddly about stereo systems. Read in here somewhere the factory amps can be small, might be two for average factory installed sound system. I have one app. 5” X 7” at helm inside hatch below steering wheel, seems like original. Previous owner had some kinda sound fetish, installed two huge amplifiers (??? I think) in companion way hatch. See pix below. They had even build an additional bench seat in cockpit to house extra huge speakers. I removed the bench seat, gave away four big speakers, left the two nice, heavy duty looking speakers in radar arch, and now I guess I just rip the amps out???? The factory installed stereo below works fine, but only drives the speakers below. I’d love to hook the radar arch speakers to that stereo, but I have not even found where the wires can be accessed, although they must be in the companion way hatch with all this amplifier stuff, I would need to identify them. Thoughts? Suggestions? Sincerely appreciate any and all help!View attachment 129621View attachment 129622 View attachment 129623
As you can see from this pic the brass ring thing doesn't appear to be pressed on at the same distance the original is. Is that going to be a show stopper?I used to do hifi a long time ago. I forget the term, but I think it was "component speakers", they perform better and can only be powered by a separate amp (not your head unit's amp), so you might consider that situation. However if they are just normal speakers and your head unit has enough power left, you could give it a try. There are other compatibility things you'll want to research like ohms and wattage requirements.
I got the new sea water pump but it looks a little different. Should I be worried?
