Open or closed where your from

Our governor allowed the golf courses to open and public boat launches are open but no docks are installed. So you get your feet wet when launching. She also made the very important decision to force closure of the garden section of supermarkets. We can buy milk and eggs but no seeds or plants to get our vegetable gardens going. Maybe the worry is killer tomato plants. Sort of petty in my view. Spread the misery around seems to be the guiding principle.

I think gretchen witchmore is just pissed that this is keeping her from filling potholes with our cash.

Buddy works at MM north shore Long Island and was furloughed and was told maybe June 1st they can start to get boats in the water.
Same for my marina there so we cancelled our NY slip for the year and leaving the boat in Fla.

So the governor's FAQ document was posted on line. No motor boats allowed, ramps closed, etc. I just drove by The power boat launch at the north end of Spring Lake and the docks are now installed and people are launching their power boats. The docks were not there yesterday morning. Will be interesting see how long this sort of stuff goes on.

My wife went out today to take care of her horses. Nobody at the farm and all she did was brush them and say hello.

The owner of the farm said that she was riding by herself in the paddock out by the road and a Trooper stopped and said she was illegal. She said its my property, my horse and I'm all alone. The trooper said she was illegal.

As far as we know the horse wasn't sick.

My launch ramp is not barricaded yet. I'm going fishing alone and If I get arrested, so be it.

We're on the Columbia and Snake Rivers. All 500+ miles of them. Recreational fishing is closed as is clamming. Haven't seen many clams on the Columbia and I don't let no stinky fish on my boat.

They closed all the state parks and ramps in those parks. All non-essential boating activities are closed. My marina is open because they allow the water cops to dock their boats there.

Our illustrious gubner can't close the Columbia or Snake because they're USACE navigational waterways and that trumps all. We've been out once and likely will again this week. Going nowhere, just cruising for a few hours. Restores my soul as well as "goodness and mercy".

This is the problem. No common fkg sense. If you're properly social distanced, leave people alone.

I ate lunch in the park today. Few people walking the trials. It was like a zombie apocalypse.

Went to the boat this afternoon. Weather was glorious. Had a few cocktails then took a nap. Weather coming in the next two days. Need to clean out the garage

We went for a ride today just to get out of the house. Stopped by our marina and the owner and a few members were there just hanging out in the garage. They have a garage there that is open to us to use anything we need in there. One guy said he hasn't even seen his boat yet this year but sounded like they were pulling shrink wrap tomorrow. All docks were back in and a few marinas had a couple of boats in already. I stayed there about 20 minutes B.S'ing. We pretty much stayed at least a few feet apart but in the garage it got a little crowded. I stood and leaned on the garage door opening so didn't go in.

On another note, a guy there bought a big Four Winns 358 last fall and is selling his Rinker EC280 with trailer. Nice boat. He said it's in Sandusky now with the broker. I know a little about it but not much. PM me if you are interested and I can give you some info. It has a dark blue hull.

I heard a Michigan garden shop say they are open just not the big box stores gardening centers like Walmart or Lowes.

First class the picture of your boat at the bottom of your posts have a Photo bucket logo over top of it.

Certainly, y
If i was riding my horse on private property and was told it was illegal I would turn away and not say a word. Come get me. We could do that all day.

In the previous reply, there was no confrontation or harsh words said. It was merely a conversation among 2 people, albeit not one that anybody would be happy with..

With tempers rising, I imagine that controversy will heighten as the days / weeks go by.

Certainly you are right and doing that would probably not get you arrested.

Nevertheless, we all need to remember that police officers are first reponders too, and in these tough times we all need to not just give them respect, but everyone else as well.

Governor Twitmore makes zero sense. As for the horse....I thought we were allowed to exercise outside. I am thinking you found one of the nazi storm troopers

Central Illinois, Shelbyville Lake.

marina is open to slip holders. Hey will make appointments for the gas dock and I can schedule to pump out at my slip, which is normal. Everything else is closed. Showers/bathrooms/ship store/ office/ mechanics etc

I was there yesterday and today. There was 7 people on my dock of about 25 slips. Everyone kept this distance. Had some conversation from 6-10’away from each other. It was nice to be there

Had my boat pulled out of storage a week ago here in Catawba Is.Ohio . Every thing is slow but normal nothing closed that I know . Governor Dewine has moved pretty quick on all of this plus he's letting carryout sell adult beverages.

Yeah, I saw that. I don't know why it's there, I haven't used Photobucket for years. I guess I'm going to have to get my buns in gear and change out the photo.

Thanks for the gentle nudge. NOW GET OFF MY BACK!! NO, I'm not agitated by this quarantine crapola. :p

I'm not sure why that suddenly showed up. I haven't used Photobucket for years.

I uploaded the photo to Postimage dot com, the site I've been using for a long time but now can't figure out how to delete the bad photo and upload its replacement.

Can anyone help an old brain dead fart figure this out?

The whole closed business thing is one thing but enforcement is another. We have a barber shop that just opened recently in a high traffic area. I know the guy that owns it. He used to cut my hair when he worked at his last place and I know what he drives. Went past the other day and his truck was there and about 5 or 6 people in there. The next day I went by and all the windows had white sheets covering them and his truck was there. Been there every time I have driven by. Very high traffic area and I'm sure the police have noticed it too.
My step-son is a Cpl detective but his chief has put every officer on patrol to work 2 12 hour shifts then 6 days off. They were given orders to check businesses that are supposed to be closed to be sure they are closed. They just had a shooting homicide a few nights ago and 2 weeks ago they had a guy shot in the head and killed while sitting in his car. Both of those cases are his. He said he isn't messing with checking these businesses as he has more important things to worry about.

This is a town 10 mins from my house. The mayors wife is wild. The police report had her dancing in the DJ booth when they walked in....
