So, lets talk weather....

Been raining here all week and now still scattered TS for the weekend ...

Hopefully this will clear out the week of the 4th for all of us!

My 84 year old Aunt from AZ, and cousin from New Mexico are visiting. We went out on the kayaks today, tomorrow we'll be on the boat. It's my aunts first time in a kayak.
It's right around 88-89° for the forecast. Just some seriously nice weather.

Greg, is that the upstream or downstream end of Bateman Island? Looks like the upstream side. Also looks like you three are having fun.

It's finally warming up around here. It's been in the 70's and 80's for what seems like forever, but now it's getting up into the mid- to upper 90's.

Mike, it's in the Bateman Island's area that's damned up hy the foot path. It's nice and calm, too shallow for any boat traffic.
If you know where Sageport grill is, it's almost straight across from it.
We had lunch there afterwards, it's a really good restaurant.
 
Beauty day today, heading to the boat this AM. Queens going kayaking, I’m working on a sticking sump pump float switch. Haven’t had the A/C running for a few days so I’m sure she can use a good airing out.
 
This past weekend was the first nice one we have had in awhile. Yesterday was a really nice day, hot, but still not too humid. Busiest I have seen LKN this year.
 
WE went 13 days with no rain then at the end of last week and this week it has rained almost every day. We start the Charleston Stern Wheel Reggata this Thursday and we are going to have to contend with scattered Thunderstorms every day of the event. My boat is docked down at the Levee downtown and is now getting the dreaded black streaks from all the rain. Being in a covered slip I don't have to put up with that crap...

So smoke is pretty thick here to in Chicago. You open weather app and it says “Smoke feels like 67 degrees”.
WTF is going on with this weather? Something called the “Omega Block”, jesus it’s almost July can we string some decent weather days together. :confused::mad:
