If you've followed my posts in this thread I said I would not want to be in a foxhole with the leaders of DHHS, nor the CDC. They just are great at optics and talking points and love to discuss data, but when it gets down to it, I just don't know what to say....

They are not testing for the virus at all...Unless you came from China and /or direct contact. How irresponsible is this?

Then this gets reported? I wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

Once again, I'm not faulting this administration - IMO, this is inherent in the Dept. and it wouldn't have mattered who was in office.

I support Trumps efforts to lower the budgets of these Depts. and find good / qualified people that really care what they are doing.

You have no idea the waste and incompetence....

Not to worry, Trump appointed Mike Pence to over see everything...…….

@susanandlance - I know you hate Trump but this response goes far beyond the administration. I wish you would keep politics out of this.

The truth is the task force that's been put together is good. Now, what they do, and what they can say, might be another issue entirely.

I can only hope... I've met Faucci and consider him a straight shooter. I hope he is not silenced.

I would like to see the demographics of the infected peeps in the U.S. Age, Gender, Race, Smoker, and if they had any significant medical conditions before being infected.

Hard to not bring up politics when Trump is politicizing this? He said at one of his rallies last night (to cheers no less) that Corona Virus “is the latest Democrat hoax”. So the President of the United States thinks a worldwide epidemic on the brink of a pandemic is a hoax to screw up his chances of re-election.

While I see your point, I'm equally disappointed, or even more so, in the democratic party that started the partisanship. The Pres. is correct that they have tried to use this outbreak to their advantage and politicize it. So, while you like to point out that Trump is politicizing it, he is actually reacting to the democrats and liberal press that continue to attack at any chance they get. Do you not see this? Or, are you so blinded by your partisanship that you think the Pres. claim is baseless?

Interestingly, I'm surprised the Dems haven't blamed the Pres. for manufacturing the outbreak, as times of fear and national security typically favor Republicans at the polls.

Though, I too, dislike the Pres. downplaying and trying to control the narrative. He is sending a far more economic message than a health message.

Exactly the response I expected. Watch between 4:00 and 5:20. He starts out about the Dems politicizing and doing nothing.... then goes way off topic then comes back and says it’s a hoax. Keep watching after 5:20 it’s pretty funny...

Empty shelves in the cold and flu section, stocking up on food as well ad bleach and other cleaning supplies.

Jim, according to my German friends it is that way here also right now. Include frozen foods and bottled watet as well to the list.

I just returned from a trip to Germany for an event that I have attended almost annually since 2003. Large event with 8,000-12,000 participants involved in a 2.5 day, 10 session training conference held in a large arena setting.

On the flight over I only saw one mask and that was in the parking lot in Frankfurt.

We got the venue setup and the event started on Thursday as normal. Friday we had the first two sessions, broke for lunch, came back and started the music for the next session. Then one the German management team got up onstage and announced the conference was over. One of the speakers for an upcoming session was diagnosed with the Coronavirus and to be safe they were cancelling the event. The speaker had no contact with any of the attendees but had dinner with some of the management team and speakers on Monday evening. All of those in attendance at the dinner have been quarantined.

One of my German friends told me that the stores are having a run on supplies similar to what Yobub mentioned earlier.

I also heard that the Swiss Auto show was cancelled, one of my German event production friends had an event cancelled and an American event production friend had a scheduled event with Motorola in Orlando that was cancelled.

While waiting for my ride at O'Hare I did see maybe 10 people with masks on outside the International Terminal.

No Trump does not think the Coronavirus is a hoax, and he never said it was. I expect this kind of context license from the silly media. I do not expect it from real people who can think for themselves.

What is the problem with uploading pictures. This picture was correct when I uploaded it. This site turned it sideways. Tried it on my phone, same thing. Then I put the picture sideways before I uploaded it. It kept it sideways? ?
