Please sign this! I want to get my boat in soon and she is delaying it! I believe the reason she is doing this is she wants to be the democrat VP candidate, they did have her deliver the SOTU rebuttal. Time to put some rubber on the road and get her attention. This has no force of law but will let her know people are paying attention.

This just is not true by what we know now. The virus was being researched back in 05, it just made the human to human leap, prior one usually had to eat the infected bat to get it. Even in December or January WHO was saying it could not be transmitted by humans. Also it originated 900 miles from Wuhan where the testing facility is. It likely either was released by accident or on purpose. I suspect on purpose as it allowed the Chinese Communist Party to regain power lost in Hong Kong protests and the like...

Fat boy Pritzker just told the state Workers comp board to consider any working person who contacts covid19 as a presumption that they got it at work and is thus a worker’s compensation case. He just fkd many industries for years to come.

He didn’t even know the state Dept of Health and Public Health Labs had industrial strength high thru put test equipment.

We’re moving back to Fla this summer. He won’t get another nickel of my hard earned tax money.

Many legal arguments state Governor’s have no Constitutional authority to impose on your civil liberties such as going to a store or restaurant or any public place.

A governor cannot issue a command ie stay in your house. This can only be deemed legal if there is a law. And only the legislature can make law.

And even then it can be contested by the Supreme Court.

Where are the lawyers when you need one?

Since the NYT article came out over the weekend, endless commentary across many of the journalists about when did the President know the dangers and how long did he wait before shutting down the country. Speculation about how many lives were lost due to his delay.

Fast forward to discussions this evening in the news. State Governors are up in arms about the Presidents comment about opening up the country. The legions of journalists clamoring about this is not within the domain of the President - it is exclusive territory of the Governors.

This really confuses me, simple minded as I am.

If the President had the power in February to shut down the country, wouldn't he have the power to open it back up now???

Talk about have your cake and eat it too...

Yesterday Trump stated at the evening briefing that he had authority to open the Country back up for business. Today, many people say such authority is within the power of the Governors of the States.

But I think here is the issue: all of those Federal Emergency Declarations that the Governors sought granted the President of the USA specific powers; powers that put the President in a position to overrule the authority of the State Governors.

This, fellow Americans, is the great danger of unleashing Federal Emergency Declarations.

And I am a Trump supporter, BUT, I am first and foremost a believer in the supremacy of the Constitution and the limits on Federal power. I believe the greatest Constitutionally recognized power should reside with the States (even to my own detriment in my home State of NY, where the progressive agenda is corrosive). So, my understanding is that this Federal Emergency allows the President to overrule the Governors of the States in matters covered by the Emergency Declarations. Think Federal “Continuity of Government (COG) “ emergency powers. It’s not a place we want to be in for long.

While the legalities will play out the next several weeks, this "I'm the authority" was to fk up the media narrative when this is over. For the past several weeks the media was screaming "national stay at home order" and Trump said "federalism." Now Trump says "I'm the authority" and the media screams "federalism."

Wants federalism now all of sudden but is also pissed that states had to compete for supplies... Thinks the feds should do that for them..

Also wants NY to be including in the Phase 4 bill. You can’t pick and choose when you want federalism
