A friend at my marina pointed out the fuel line from the pump to the carburetor appears pinched and who ever made the bend apparently didn't use a pipe bending tool. He said it maybe restricting fuel flow. I wanted to know what any of you thought about it.
last year couldn't get boat above 15 knots. I replace carb and now 25- 30 knots and more. At this speed I'm learning the use of the trim tabs (sea ray 240). The Port side trim tab moves at half the speed of the starboard. I did install a new pump and lines last season. It was running slower back...
I filled my water tank last year turn on the pump which pushed the air out of the faucets and then running water. This year the same thing bur Mt there was a leak and the water drained out. I filled the tank turned on the pump but now the pressure is not building up and i hear the pump running...
Bought a new carb for mercruiser 305. Fuel was burning rich. I went to adjust and had to turn screw at least 4 times to seat it them backed it out 1.25 turns as per manual. Was running great. Then it start to burn too rich again. Checked adjustment screw and had to turn 4 times again to seat it...
There's a fuel deliver issue with my boat. 2000 mercruiser 5.0. I believe it's the fuel pump. The manual says there's a fuse for the pump but I cant find it.
My engine is 2000 5.0 mercriuser with bravo 2 outdrive. I've changed the fuel water separator filter and the carburetor filter. It started and it idled for for 15mins. I shut it off and it's doing the same thing. It starts after I move the throttle into neutral but only for a few seconds.
After my boat is warmed i start to throttle up and there is a long delay in response from the engine. If I add too much throttle it stalls. When the boat is moving the throttle response is fine. This happens anytime I start the boat, leaving slip or after anchoring.

I'm attempting to adjust my fuel mixture screw. The manual says after seating the screws back out 1 1/4 turns. My question is a turn is 180-degs or 360-degs?
I know I've posted uo alot on the newbie lounge and the support has enable me to get the boat in the water. Now I think I have a serious problem. The boat leans slightly to starboard. I did notice gelcoat missing on the starboard stern corner which I fill with gel coat. I think though the foam...
When in neutral the rpms can get to 5000 rpms. When cruising at 3000 rpm my speed on my GPS is 12 knots. I haven't done throttle wide open yet but this seems slow for 3000 rpm
