Hello,

I recently had an accident with my boat and both the window and the frame are damaged. What's the best way for finding a replacement? Any info is welcome thanks

You can try calling Taylor Made, or trying perhaps Flounder Pounder Marine.

But be prepared for not being able to replace it. Many boats have been constructively totalled because replacement windows/frames can’t be sourced. If you can find one, also be ready for a very expensive bill.

Thanks for the quick response. I was afraid that was the case.

Do you know how specific the window has to be? Would a 1993 version fit? Stuff like that

Designs usually carried over for a few years so models a year or 2 on either side are likely to work. That said I don’t know that segment of the Sea Ray lineup too well.

You may be able to poke around in the Sea Ray archives to look at brochures and manuals to compare years and get an answer. If you have a Sea Ray dealer near you you may be able to get them to do a parts lookup to at least get an item number.

If you contact Taylor Made you will most likely get a reply that the molds are out of production and they can’t help. However you need to get past the 1st layer customer service. A recent post discussed how an owner was able to get hold of a person next to the storage warehouse and he found the jigs/molds in 10 minutes. Try to search CSR for recent posts on broken windows.

I have 2010 Searay 185 Sport in am searching for windshield supports, they are short 6" or so. I checked on the OEM price $194 for a pair. Any suggestions on where to find replacements other than Searay?

Ben, as you may have found out by searching this site (it's come up enough to be pretty easily findable), this is not an inexpensive venture. The only viable solution I know of for curved glass and aluminum channel repair/replacement is Ocean Dynamics in Florida. Search for threads on them, as well.

Howard, it's best to start your own thread so as not to derail someone else's. However, that is a vendor direct item - try calling Taylor Made. Or, stop at a local marine store and they may have it in stock or can order for you. This one is easy - you can always cut it down.
