410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

I’ve put off replacing the galley faucet long enough, what’s everyone done? I wouldn’t mind a pull out sprayer and I’ll cap the hole from the original sprayer. Maybe just go browse lowes? The fittings look to be 1/4”

I went with this one. No issues with hookups. Repurposed the sprayer hole for reverse osmosis water tap.

Awesome thanks. Love the RO under sink! We have great dock side water but my wife is convinced it tastes like old water lines, I suspect this would eliminate that. I could also run the feed right next to the dockside inlet to avoid pulling through the boat

I'd start with a charcoal filter first rather than an expensive RO system. If it is a taste thing that is....

I can't believe you guys give up this much space for RO??? How bad is your water at the dock?? A single canister carbon filter should clear most taste issues, super easy??

I have one of these at home and it bothers me in terms of how much space it takes up. I'd lose my mind dealing with this on the boat...not to mention yer dumping 5+ gallons of water overboard for every gallon you get to keep.

i installed a filter in the lazarette for dock water, and have another right after the freshwater tank.

Ours is more about the old pex in the boat. Our supply is perfect, the marina even tests it 5/1 every year.

I drink it no problem, the wife doesn’t. I’ll likely continue to drink my hose water and she can buy bottled

Our water has always been "good", but I "shock" treated my water system this year. I added a quart of bleach then filled the tank till it spit out the vent. Ran this water to all the faucets/toilets etc. let it sit over night and flushed it 2X.

I also put some water freshener in when I fill the tank. I alway run from the tank to make sure it doesn't sit too long.

I would think RO water would make crappy coffee...

My starboard porthole in the aft head leaks badly. It is not just the window seal it is also where it seals topside. An anyone give me a lead on gaskets and any tips please.

Roger that. Can do. However I am curious if there was originally a rubber gasket and if so, is it still available?

From the few I have done, no gasket. But not sure on a 97. I would think the gasket would make it harder to seal. Not sure I would actually use one. Because when the gasket rot's out that would leave a gap for water to get in by.

Anyone know what model perko strainer our AC has? My lid gasket is toast and needs replacing

I installed the Weco tiny system 3 years ago. It takes up no useable space, put it under the dinette, nothing else was in there. $200 total.

The water pipes at my dock look like WW2 vintage.

My parts manual shows a 3/4" intake, but mine has been swapped out to a Grocko but this looks like the gasket set for that size. I think ours requires the cork version.

Replaced all bilge lights with Lumitech utility lights. So much easier to work in there.

Man...you express guys....you could install a third stateroom down there and still get around! :)

That's a wicked clean bilge, very nice.

Any chance you can share a link to those lights? Were they....ignition protected?
